In my first term, I partnered with Councilmember Pinto to launch an inter-agency Literacy Task Force that delivered clear, evidence-based recommendations — and I fought to fund them.

I also passed a Structured Literacy bill to ensure all K-12 teachers get the training they need to support our students.
